Accenture, EBG and Emptoris Host a Series of Roundtable Discussions in France on Procurement and Supply Management Issues

Emptoris, a leading provider of enterprise supply and contract management software, and Accenture, the global management consulting firm, are joining with EBG to host a series of roundtable discussions across France on key procurement and supply management issues.

The roundtable series will include at least eight sessions in France over the next nine months, each of which will feature an interactive panel discussion among a handful of Chief Procurement Officers (CPOs) from leading French and global companies. The scheduled sessions include:

-- "How to Leverage Low Cost and Low Level Suppliers" - A roundtable
discussion featuring procurement executives from Credit Lyonnais discussing
low cost country sourcing (LCCS) and best practices in managing low level
supplier performance.

-- "Centralization vs. Decentralization" - A roundtable discussion
featuring senior procurement executives from Societe Generale and GDF/Suez,
the energy and natural gas company, and examining centralized and
decentralized business and organizational models in procurement.

-- "How to Evaluate MRO Suppliers" - A roundtable discussion examining
best practices in sourcing from and managing Maintenance, Repair and
Operations (MRO) suppliers. The session will take place on the afternoon
of December 10th in Paris.

-- "How to Merge Procurement Organizations" - A roundtable discussion
featuring executives from Alcatel-Lucent and Air France KLM and examining
the successful combination and integration of procurement organizations
following a merger or acquisition.

Emptoris and Accenture, along with EBG, will also sponsor a "Procurement General Assembly" in France in 2009, which will feature a broader panel and interactive audience discussion on key supply management issues, including globalization, low cost country sourcing, advanced sourcing techniques, and contract management. The series of eight roundtable debates, each lasting for two hours, will each feature three to five CPOs in a panel discussion, with an audience of between 30 to 50 senior procurement executives participating to ensure energetic discussion. To request an invitation to any of the above events, or to receive additional information on the series, please contact John Webster at jwebster@emptoris.com.

Summaries of each session along with audio pod-casts, will be made available for educational purposes via http://www.emptoris.com/cmp_08/ebg/.

The Accenture and Emptoris sessions are the latest in a series of educational and thought leadership events which the two companies have sponsored across Europe over the past year. In April 2009, leaders from Global 2000 companies will gather for Emptoris Empower Europe 2009, the flagship supply and contract management user conference in Europe.
